Family Beekeeping at Vydra’s
Petr Mudra, known as Vydra / Otter, is the owner of a family beekeeping business with a 50-year tradition. He has been involved in beekeeping himself for 20 years and in 2005 he continued the work of his grandfather. He now keeps over 50 bee colonies, whose hives are located in the beautiful landscape around the Kozelka hill. The colonies are situated at the edge of a forest with a view of meadows and pastures.
"Honey & Traditional Production"
Bee colonies are traditionally kept in wooden hives, with careful attention paid to their condition and cleanliness. All honey from this production comes from beautiful light combs. The colonies are not treated with chemical medicines and the bees overwinter exclusively on honey. The colonies are not fed sugar. After extraction, the honey is poured straight into jars without any processing, heating, additives, or preservatives. These are traditional beekeeping methods.

We specialize in producing high-quality organic honey from local sources in a protected landscape area, as well as other bee products. We are proud of our sustainable and ethical practices, which ensure the health and well-being of our bees and the delicious taste of our honey. The honey is poured directly into jars without any further processing. This guarantees organic quality, free from preservatives.
